For our hundredth brew in our new brewery, we made a one-off we've been wanting to try for a while. Nice and hot from fresh habanero and serrano chilies, rich with fresh whole ginger, and enchantingly spiced with pounds of fresh basil, the "Batch 100" hits on a lot of the things people have been asking for. We only planned to make 100 bottles, but with our loyalists asking us to keep it going, we couldn't resist.
Perfect for home carbonation systems like Aarke, SodaStream, or any carbonated water. Includes two, 16 oz bottles.
We suggest 1oz Syrup per 16oz of carbonated water.Â Use more or less depending on how much flavor you desire. Help us reduce ready to drink packaging by purchasing concentrates, and using a reusable container like a HydroFlask. Ingredients: Water, cane sugar, fresh ginger root, fresh basil, fresh habanero chili, fresh serrano chili, citric acid.
Spicy Cucumber Refresher Recipe
- Portland Syrups Hot Ginger-Basil Syrup
- Fresh basil
- Sparkling water
- Juice of ¼ lemon
Cucumber is a refreshing counterpoint to the clear but controlled citrus and chili-fruit flavors in this syrup. More intriguingly complex than spicy, it still provides a pleasantly lingering heat on the palate.
In a pint glass, muddle three fresh basil leaves in one ounce syrup until bruised and fragrant. Add three cucumber slices, top glass off with ice, then add lemon juice and 6oz sparkling water. Stir and enjoy!
Hot Ginger-lime Sorbet Recipe
- Portland Syrups "Batch 100" Syrup
- Lime sorbet
- Sparkling water
- Fresh mint
- Lemon wheel garnish
Fresh herbs, lightly muddled in the syrup before mixing, add delicate and fleeting notes that delight the senses and complement the whole botanical middle- and base notes captured in our syrups.
Muddle 4 leaves fresh mint and one ounce ginger syrup in bottom of wine glass. Add six ounces sparkling water in a wine glass and stir. Add one scoop lime sorbet. Garnish with fragrant fresh lemon wheel.
Spicy PORTLAND MULE Recipe
For adults: It makes powerfully flavorful Moscow Mules and whiskey-gingers when mixed as a ginger ale.
- 2 oz vodka
- Juice of 1/2 lime
- 1 oz "Batch 100" Syrup
Pour over rocks. Top with sparkling water to taste.
SUPER SIMPLE HOTT SNOW CURE Recipe
- 1oz "Batch 100" Syrup
- .5 oz lemon juice
- 2 oz bourbon
Perfect when topped with hot water in your favorite mug and sipped by a fireplace.
